 Why should I drink water after a Massage?

Massage releases toxins from tissues in your body. The  lymphatic system and the circulatory system to accumulate these toxins and process them. Without water these systems become sluggish and the toxins can be re-absorbed into the tissues. This can cause such conditions as back pain and arthritis. It is recommended to drink of water after a massage.

 

Can massage therapy aid in my recovery after a surgery or injury?

Yes, Massage Therapy aids the body by increasing the lymphatic system and the circulatory system. It's will aid in the recovery from an injury or surgery. Always check with your primary physician/doctor before starting into any alternative program or therapy.

 

Do you use lotion or oil?

I use an Advanced Therapy Massage Lotion. Most of my clients my clients don't like oil because it's greasy and leaves a residue on the skin and clothing. Lotion is excellent for any area of the body, leaves skin with a light, smooth, soft feel. I have oils and creams if a client requests it.

 

 

What do I get more relaxing in my massage session?

Aromatherapy, Smell has the most sensitive receptors. This is because when you smell an aroma, an impulse travels immediately down the olfactory nerve to the limbic system (a tiny part of the brain where emotion, hunger, memory and other responses are evoked)

 

Candles, keep the lighting low will particularly enhance the atmosphere.

 

Music,  a soft and gentle music will heighten your responsiveness.
